Delve into the plausibility of ghost stories associated with the lodge. 

    Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis so show up early at the Waterfront Visitors Center to purchase tickets on one of these two unique and limited tours.  Remember: Space is limited.

Take home a few secrets behind turning a ‘black’ thumb into a ‘green’ one.

    Try this seasonally inspired journey down the Wakulla River on a river boat cruise.  Be treated to some of the lesser known stories and legends surrounding Wakulla Springs and the Lodge.   Enjoy the Halloween themed culinary delights of a dinner buffet in the historic Lodge at Wakulla Springs.

    Please arrive in the park by 5:00pm to provide time to check in at the front desk of the lodge and meet the captain at the waterfront for a prompt 5:30 departure.  Space is limited.

    It's time to celebrate the "Wakullaphant" (Manatees at Wakulla Springs)!

    Be the first to spy one on the day of the HuManatee Festival. This will be a sunrise tour. Be certain to bring a camera to capture the surprises of early morning on the river.


    Plan for breakfast in the lodge following the river quest. Space is limited.

    • $10 for everyone over 13 years old
    • $7 for children ages 3 -12

    Car caravan tour departs from Cascades Park, Tallahassee, concludes at Wakulla Springs State Park

    Follow the amazing underground journey of our precious water "blue gold" with Florida springs expert, Jim Stevenson. This fascinating behind-the-scenes tour traces the journey southward from Tallahassee through one of the longest and deepest cave systems in the world to Wakulla Springs. Peer into our underground aquifer though pristine sinkholes not accessible to the general public. This is a journey to Florida’s largest spring that everyone who lives in our beautiful Big Bend region should experience!

    Car caravan/walking tour departs from Cascades Park with 7 stops of interest on the way to Wakulla Springs State Park. Tour proceeds benefit Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park.

    It's time to celebrate the "Wakullaphant" (Manatees at Wakulla Springs)!

    It’s time to celebrate the “Wakullaphant” (Manatees at Wakulla Springs)! Meet at the Waterfront Visitors Center for a repeating program from 11:00-3:00 detailing the manatee’s natural history in the area and specifically at the park. Information about adopting a manatee will be available as well as some free materials to delight young people. Embark on a river boat cruise for the best potential to see the “sea elephants”. The gift shop will offer 25% off manatee merchandise (get an early Christmas present) while the soda fountain and restaurant join in the celebration with a confection and menu item in honor of the sirenians.

    This event builds on the Legacy event which was held January 2018. We will expand this to embrace all of the area’s heritage with a theme of “Wakulla River: Gateway to the Caribbean.”

    We will coordinate with area organizations to create a carnival-like atmosphere with food, music and video.

    Last year we were overwhelmed by the response.

    185 vehicles including exotic supercars, classic American iron and even a 52' pink firetruck!

    The Motorcycle category brought out an incredible group, including our first place winner, a 1943 M50 BSA Military.

    This year a special Club area will be added - bring your friends!

    A great family event with food, music and a beautiful beach and swimmimg area a few hundred feet away.

    A public educational event that combines our hispanic heritage with a walk to area sinkholes and an explanation of the difference between sinkholes and springs.

    Real Paella is available to cook at the Azalea Picnic Shelter. Arrange for educational component with geologist(s), have specific time for a walk followed by food. Arrange for music.
